Divide students into 3-4 teams. Allow students to name their team after a bird if desired. Teams will take turns picking categories and answering questions.
Rules:
Team picks a category and number. Teacher asks the question with the corresponding category and number. The corresponding number for each question indicates how many points the question is worth. The teacher may display the quiz board on paper and cross off each question as it is asked, or the teacher may choose to use the Google Sheet game board. Link:
The team that chose the category and number gets an attempt to answer first. Teammates may work together to discuss questions/answers.
If the team answers incorrectly, another team may have the opportunity to answer and get the points.
Teams take turns so that all teams have an equal opportunity to pick a question.
The team with the most points after all questions are asked (or an equal number of questions are asked to each team) is the winner.
The teacher should reteach using text and/or media from the lesson the missed questions are from.
