White Ibis

The White Ibis is undoubtedly one of the most popular birds in the United States. You can find them in large numbers throughout the waters of Florida. They are generally social and amicable with other wading birds that are in their surrounding area. These birds are striking to the eye with their vivid white plumages and bright red legs, have captured the attention of Americans for centuries. These birds are so popular that they are the mascot of the University of Miami in Florida.

White-faced Ibis

This is one of the most beautiful wading birds, the White-faced Ibis is a curious species that you can find along the lower half of North America. These birds are the American counterpart to the Glossy Ibis which live in every other continent except for Antarctica. These two species of Ibises are very similar to each other in both appearance and behavior, but there are unique sets of features that set these Ibises apart from each other.

Glossy Ibis

The Glossy Ibis is a majestic-looking Pelecaniformes found in south-eastern North America. These birds may look plain black from a distance but when observed carefully, they seem to have glistening black feathers that reflect a lot of colors.
